Appleby Owner Saves the Party (printed in Letters to the Editor, The Georgetown Independent October 2012)
Just hours before the crowds were to arrive for the first of two parties we were hosting recently, I realized that the natural gas barbeque I had been given didn’t connect properly to the gas line. That ‘uh-oh’ feeling was instant. I quickly called Appleby Systems here in Georgetown and explained that we were going to be having close to 100 people over. Despite all of their service guys being busy, Paul, the owner himself, came over in 10 minutes to fix the connection and save the day. Paul said, “When I was told of your situation, well, that’s just one of those things you make sure you can get sorted out for people.”
